Varsity Jazz Ensemble (Advanced)
This is the advanced Jazz Band and is available to all sophomores, juniors, and seniors by audition. The Band performs music of a more contemporary nature, focusing on style and improvisation in the Jazz and Funk idioms. Students in this class will perform in both the Big Band and smaller Combo settings. The Band performs at various concerts and several Jazz festivals throughout the state. Concurrent enrollment in an instrumental concert ensemble is required for eligibility. There is a $20 Class fee.
J.V. Jazz Lab Band (Entry Level)
This is the entry level jazz band and is open to any student who wants to learn to perform and improvise in the jazz style. Students in this class will perform in both the Big Band and Combo settings. The Band performs at various concerts and several Jazz festivals throughout the state. Concurrent enrollment in an instrumental concert group is required for eligibility. There is a $20 Class fee.
