The Symphonic Band is the advanced performance-oriented wind band. Membership in this ensemble is by audition according to ability and instrumentation. It consists mainly of seniors and juniors, although some sophomores are admitted if their audition warrants it. The Symphonic Band participates in a Fall Concert, Winter concert and a Spring concert. The Symphonic Band also represents the school at all Regional and State festivals. Depending upon the degree of musical excellence, the Symphonic Band may participate in a spring tour, provided that students and parents agree to meet the financial obligations of such travel. The Symphonic Band is reserved for those individuals who exhibit a dedication to their instrument through their advanced musical abilities. There is a $40 District Music Participation fee, and a $20 Symphonic Band Class fee.
