Program Needs

PROGRAM GOALS:

It takes a significant amount of effort from staff, students, parents, and supporters to maintain the degree of excellence consistently achieved by the music program at Riverton High School.  Achieving these high standards also require a great deal of money.  Progress and recognition may only occur when our objectives and needs are planned for and met.

The Riverton High School Band Program has outlined the following long-term goals:

  • Provide opportunities for all bands to participate and perform on a National Level.
  • Provide opportunities for all students to receive private instruction on an instrument.
  • Provide opportunities for a greater percentage of Riverton H.S. students to have an experience in instrumental music during their high school career.
  • Allow the Marching Band to compete in a National Competition annually.
  • Provide multicultural experiences in music for students at all levels of involvement.

As you can see, our goal of raising $50,000 for this year pales in comparison to the needs of this rapidly growing program.  However, every little bit helps and with community support we will be able to continue to represent our community in a complimentary way.
